On the other hand, Community Affairs Officer – Lanao, Nor-ain I.
Lambitan introduced and taught the children a basic Kulintang rhythm and how it
is being played. Also emphasized its importance and symbolism to ones culture
as people of Mindanao. Particularly, the school beneficiaries were Pualas
Central Elementary School, Maligo Primary School, Daksla Elementary School,
Danugan Central Elementary School and Tuka Linuk Elementary School of North
Pualas District, Lanao del Sur which was fully supported by North Pualas
District Supervisor Bailina A. Tanog together with the school principals and
teachers.
The school children performed a variety of Maranao Cultural Arts
showcasing their authentic culture such as Maranao songs, Mamayog Dance of
Kapanguyat Cultural Dance Troupe organized by Andabo T. Naga, the school
principal of Pualas Central Elementary School, Kambuyang, Kabpamalong-malong
Dance introduced through Maranao proverb (pananaroon)“ Maregen a limbangan so
kapakingiginawai ka o marandang so Ranao na petelo-talo maog so randangen o
rawaka ka so alongan pelangkap ka pidtimbabawan o palao a kada so rangka
niyan.”
