AEPAG first Performance May 24, 2014

Bureau on Cultural Heritage-ARMM officially presented AEPAG (ARMM Employees Performing Arts Guild) as the regional cultural bearer, showcasing their gala performance in front of ARMM agencies executives during the Thanksgiving Kanduli, a dinner celebration, for Hon. Mujiv Hataman for his successful completion of the Eisenhower Scholarship and his son Ahmed Ibn Hataman for his gold medal achievement in the 11th International Young inventors project Olympiad was conducted.

AEPAG performed Kambuyang, a welcome dance of the Maguindanaons for safe arrival, and Kadtendung, a dance showcasing the different ways of using the tendung signifying life’s angle. Afterwards, AEPAG performed Silong sa Ganding, a trademark Maguindanaon dance to the rhythm of Gandingan musical instrument. It is performed by all female dancers which depicted the majestic swaying of Gandingan and also imitating the movement of coconut leaves while in frozen. This performance is a milestone for AEPAG to a continuous performance in the future bringing the MORO culture on peace development.
